Australian Aboriginal Art by Margaret Scobie Born in 1948 at Woola Downs, Northern Territory. Margaret's family has a long and famous art tradition. Her sister was Emily Kngwarreye and her cousin is Gloria Petyarre, both acclaimed Utopia women artists nationally and internationally. Margaret lives in the Central Desert and enjoys her four children and three grandchildren. As with most Utopia artists Margaret's theme has to do with the land, specifically the spinifex grass, medicine leaves and body painting. Her wonderful flowing style draws you into the intricate designs and colours that she achieves.
