Australian Aboriginal Art by Jeannie Petyara Born in 1951 near Boundry Bore Station, Jeannie is one of the famous Petyarre family artists that includes Gloria, Kathleen, Violet, Myrtle, Nancy and Ada Bird. Emily Kngwarreye, who was the sister's aunt and an acclaimed artist, handed down her skills and themes which are present throughout Jeannie's work. Jeannie's bush medicine leaves and other "bush tucker" designs are stunning plus the use of vibrant colour result in a most unique style highly sought after by galleries and private collectors. Her work is primarily with acrylic on canvas. Exhibitions & Collections: 17 x 27 (011-60) |
