Australian Aboriginal Art by Freda Wilson
Freda Wilson was born in 1925 at Ivanhoe Station, Kimberley, Western Australia and she died there July 2004.
Freda painted the area around Kununura especially the Ord River and surrounding hills.
She remembered the old times very well and felt it important to educate her children but also to understand the land, the bush and especially bush medicines.
Her paintings reflect the Kimberly style...simplicity, use of natural earth ochres and stunning colour.
