Australian Aboriginal Art by Berlene Mung Berlene Mung was born at Texas Downs station near Kununurra in 1952. Her medium is ochre and natural pigments on canvas. Berlene's father is influential elder/artist George Mung Mung and her husband is internationally acclaimed artist Freddie Timms. Berlene lives south of Turkey Creek where she teaches at the Community School where she works hard passing her talent and knowledge of painting and her culture on to the children of her community. She also travels hundreds of miles to make sure here two kids and the other children from her community get to sporting and cultural events. Berlene is a wonderful artist and a major positive influence in her community. (011-43) 48 X 36 |
